PHILOSOPHY
Hanging in the sweet spot of learning and both knowing these universal truths while lingering in the deep flow of surrendering for there is so much that can not be witnessed or quantified down to a zero or one.
whole body healing over topical symtoms treatment. Hapniess, joy, wellbeing and treating/finding root causes inclusing what is carried in our genetics
AN understanding through learning on ones self that at a foundational level our bodies rely on our nervous system for survival, it controls and alters all of our states. prolonged visits into flight/fight territory changes the patterns in our brains and therefore our bodies. there are many ways to do this, we can find what we like and it often requires taking a holistic view at ones lifestyle! it the land of capatalism and world domination by the powerful few, we are there are so many It crucial to oreient, reset, rest and restore our nervous system. this is especially true before/during any types of specific symptiom related treatments, without this, it’s like throwing a bouncing ball at the wall of root causes. often (but not always!!) we are treated with medicated bandaids that get us back on our feet but don’t treat the underlining issues or cause other issues for us down the line.
Removing the I in self can give our minds a new perspctive that takes us away from the center of the chaos and nothing but a small speck in the relentless motion of the universe that will turn with or with you, or that decision you need to make, or that thing that emeeressed you etc.etc. practicing this overtime, this de-centering, or realization of the fluidify of our conciousness does infact connect us closer to the present and scales/presents whats truly important in our lives.
DEFAULT MODE RANT CONT:
//The default mode network is an area in the brain responsible for our “auto-pilot” when we are not engaged in any sort of tasks. Without nurturing this part of the brain, we can start to create a sense of self that is detached from present reality. This can come in such forms of worrying or thought spirals, constantly thinking about the past or future, self analyzing and criticizing, living via our egos, staying with our pains, etc. Not always negative, it can be the home of day dreams, processing and deep analytical thinking and certainly serves a wonderful purpose. However, often one’s senses of self can take root here, including thought narratives that can be harmful to the self, take us away from our joy/love, disrupt our natural abilities to heal and train the brain to not be present.
Its a fascinating space, and a concept that I quickly fell in love with. It’s here where scientifically meditative practices live, those that connect you to your present body and/or consciousness actually starts to reduce the amount of energy processing in this brain area. This allows for other parts of the brain to receive the balance. And in my experience, this can translate to actually healing the brain, it’s networks, chemistry, material makeup, neuroplasticity (and probably so much more a neuroscientist would be way more qualified to say). It can also free up channels of deep listening, to call forth our innate capabilities of intuition and other human animalistic experiences (for me I became away of psychic senses and abilities).
I have an understanding that meditation is the main platform to accessing this, all other healing avenues extend from or around the main practice of meditation. Sadly mediation, has not become a core pillar in-todays society, often replaced by the narrative that sitting is not “productive”. We’ve often placed all our bets on “high effort” healing, such as hefty gym work outs, long runs, heavy massage and active physio recovery plans. I say “high effort” not “high energy” because there are “high energy” practices that require almost no effort that are great for establishing a type of meditative healing. We don’t realize but these activities take high levels of cortisol, which is a stress response. We can often feel a “high” immediately after or during, but often, if these are only the focus, there is a crash, which we normally avoid with coffee, social time, drinking, etc.etc. These “high effort” practices certainly have it’s place but are out of balance without meditation and mindfullness teachings that come with it. and a place IN terms of healing, it can be like throwing a rubber ball at a wall of resistance. I note “teachings” because it does take more than just the act of sitting still (although that’s a great start). We open deeper pathways when we can understand how the actions we take effect our interiors and exteriors. Sometimes our brains can forget what happiness feels like, what functioning properly looks like. it takes weaving in different practices, ideologies and teachings including meditative exercises that bring us into sympathetic joy, love and kindness, to take us on a path of radical healing and self/soul alignment. It does take some consistency but the beauty is that it doesn’t have to be so expansive and the path you choose is uniquely yours to create and ultimately enjoy.
I do believe that we are waking up and seeing that our bodies don’t actual function on 100% productive diesel fuel (lol). People are seeing that we also need true rest, true presence with ourselves, with nature and with the connectivity of all those around us. We can cultivate this anywhere that we are in almost any situation. And that sometimes we just need to allow the body to release all that we are carrying and know that it’s safe and being attended to, gently, carefully. Sometimes we can‘t force anything, we just need to be within. The reality that a relaxed nervous system, a happy gut, a calm mind and an open heart can actually lead to more happiness, joy, self healing and better relationships.//
NOTE there is a long list of cultures, teachers, coaches, references, research, trainings, books, podcasts, educators, etc etc that need to be and will referenced in accordance to this framework. however, these reflections and thoughts are soley from my individual impressions and experiences. this is a work in progress webpage :)
